Ride Blue Derby with Derby's favourite shuttle company. With continuously running buses, the amount of runs you get in depends on you! 

We have multiple buses running during busy times to allow you to jump on as soon as you hit the trailhead.  It works like a chairlift.

You do not need to be ready for the first shuttle at 9am, come to the trailhead when you are ready, buses run continuously all day.

Shuttle Times

9am - 4pm every day in the season and on weekends

10am - 3pm Weekdays in August

The Twilight Shuttles Session if 4 uplifts for $35 

Shuttle times are 4pm, 4.30pm, 5pm and 5.30pm

If seats are available, we will accept shuttle passes and walk ups.

Our all-day shuttle pass finishes at 4pm is not valid for this session.

Unused shuttles are NOT transferrable.

This is the ultimate day of riding approximately 52 km of insane trail! 

Depart from the Derby Trailhead at 8.45am to begin your adventure on the Top 13 km of the Bay of Fires trail. Fly through the best flow in Derby before jumping back on the shuttle to return to the top! 

The second trail of the day will be the iconic Blue Tier, where you'll wind through dense rainforests and onto the famous Big Chook section. After whipping through the many berms, you'll pop out at the historic Weldborough Pub where you can grab some lunch and maybe a cheeky beverage. 

The final shuttle of the day will deliver you to the top of Atlas, a fun a poppy trail that is the perfect mix of tech and flow. Atlas will link you onto the outskirts of the Blue Derby trail network where you can choose between four trails that will lead to the town of Derby. 

Krushka's and Dam Busters are your two intermediate options, or if you're after an intense finish you can choose between Black Dragon or Trouty.   

You'll have the option to return to Derby on the shuttle from Weldborough if you're too tired to complete the Atlas section.

Departing from the Derby Trailhead at 8.45am, we will shuttle you to the top of the Blue Tier where you'll flow your way through the sub-alpine, into the dense rainforest, and onto the world famous Big Chook descent before finishing at the Weldborough Pub.

Enjoy lunch at the historic pub and afterwards, we'll shuttle you to the top of Atlas. You'll find yourself weaving tightly through giant boulders and moss covered trees before reaching the outskirts of the Blue Derby trail network. From here, choose between the two advanced trails - Trouty and Black Dragon - or the two intermediate trails - Dam Busters and Krushkas - for your final descent back to Derby.

The Blue Tier and Atlas ride is Approximately 38kms.

Enjoy lunch at the historic pub and afterwards and relax for a while before we take you back to Derby. 

The First 13 and Blue Tier is Approximately 35kms.

Departs Derby Shuttle Depot at 8.45am

Enjoy epic descents and minimal climbing with this ultimate pairing of trails. 

Departing from the Blue Derby trailhead at 9am, we'll shuttle you to the top of the Blue Tier for you to enjoy the Top 13 km of the Bay of Fires trail. After flying down the perfectly built descent, we'll pick you up at the 13 km mark and shuttle you to the top of Atlas. 

Without riding Blue Tier first, you'll feel fresh and ready to tackle the fun and techy descents that Atlas throws at you. At the trail intersection, choose between the two intermediate trails - Krushka's and Dam Busters - or the three advanced trails - Trouty, Cuddles or Black Dragon - to deliver you back to the town of Derby. 

Beginning at 8.45 am, we'll shuttle you to the sub-alpine surrounding Derby for you to experience the best part of the Bay of Fires Trail, the Top 13km.  We'll then pick you up and shuttle you back to the top to ride the Top 13km again.  Get your eye in on the first run so you can shred the second run down.  This trail is so good you will want to do it twice!  After the 2 runs we will shuttle you back to Derby.

The 42km Bay of Fires trail is the ultimate adventure ride that begins in the sub-apline of the Blue Tier and ends on the famous Bay of Fires coastline. 

Departing from the Derby trailhead at 8.45am, we will shuttle you to the top of the Blue Tier where you will begin your adventure with 13km of the best flow in Derby! Following is an undulating trail that moves from the dense rainforest of the Blue Tier to the open coastal forests bordering the Bay of Fires coastline. 

Finish with a final descent that delivers you to Swimcart Beach. You can then choose to be picked up from Swimcart Beach or continue riding to Binalong Bay where you can enjoy a pizza and drink at the Hub before we pick you up for the return to Derby.

Departing from the Derby trailhead at 8.45am, we will shuttle you to the top of the Blue Tier where you will begin your adventure with 13km of the best flow in Derby! Following is an undulating trail that moves from the dense rainforest of the Blue Tier to the open coastal forests bordering the Bay of Fires coastline. 

Finish with a final descent that delivers you to Swimcart Beach. Enjoy some complimentary beverages and some Tassie produce before we shuttle you back to Derby.  A great day out for keen riders who love an adventure.

We offer regular shuttles to the beginning of the Atlas trail for those wishing to ride this epic adventure trail. Atlas is an undulating 8 km trail that winds between giant moss covered boulders and descends through deep gullies before a fast flow section delivers you to the trail junction of Trouty, Cuddles, Black Dragon, Dam Busters Descent and Krushkas. This is the best way to access these fun and varied descents that will allow you to ride all the way back into the town of Derby. The shuttle departs from the Derby Trailhead.

When booking the super pass please select the day you want to pick the pass up from our shuttle driver.

You do not need to select the pick up location, just select the pick up date.

The pass can be picked up from our driver any time between 9am and 3pm on the day selected.

The 2 days of shuttles can be used on any 2 days that shuttles are operating.

The Valley Ponds Trail—also known as the Branxholm Link or Derby Connector—is a scenic, beginner-friendly route connecting the towns of Branxholm and Derby in northeast Tasmania. This 9–10 km gravel trail runs alongside the Ringarooma River, weaving through lush fern glades, blackwood and myrtle forests, and past tranquil ponds. It's a popular choice for hikers, mountain bikers, and families seeking a relaxed outdoor experience

The 5 Day Derby Quickie Mountain Biking Package is open for solo travelers and groups coming to Tassie to experience our world class trails.  There are no minimum numbers required for these tours so you can book with confidence knowing that your Mountain Biking dreams will be discovered.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival and Transfer to Derby

Arrive in Launceston before 4pm and board your shuttle for transport to Derby.  We do also offer Launceston City pick up if you plan to arrive before Friday.  We have enclosed luggage trailers for safe and secure bike transport.

Day 2, 3 and 4 - Uplift Shuttles

This package includes 2 Days of unlimited Black Stump Shuttles.  Our Black Stump Shuttles will give you access to the world-famous mountain bike trails such as Kummagutza, Air Ya Garn, Detonate, Flickity Sticks and so many more!  We will have multiple buses running up the hill all day so you can maximise your riding time.

The Big 3 is included - First 13, Blue Tier and Atlas.  This is the ultimate day of adventure riding.  You may choose a different combination or the Blue Tier to Bay of Fires Trail (subject to availaility)

Day 5 - Transfer to Launceston for Departure

Add Accommodation - 4 nights in Derby from $480 (subject to availability)

You are welcome to organise your own accommodation or contact us and we will organise accommodation to suit your needs.

Food is not included in this package.  We will stop at Woolworths on the way to Derby for Groceries.
